I am working on a very interesting project this week, altering a timber building that started it’s life after the first world war in Jesmond.
The building was taken down and re-built in Ellington some years later, then taken down again to make way for a new house on the plot. The building was moved into the garden and rebuilt to house the family until the new house was finished. Forty years later we are altering and repairing the building to make a fantastic fourth generation building to be used as a garden room.
This must be the ultimate in recycling and sustainability.
I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
