A lovely oak staircase refurbishment in Ponteland this week.

The original handrail and banisters were solid 60’s plywood panels with a flat handrail. All this was stripped back and the newels extended to suit the new handrail height. New oak base rail, handrail and spindles fitted and the newels clad in oak with new caps. All very splendid.
